BIKER ETIQUETTE

Introduction

There are so many unwritten rules and proper etiquette when it comes to "bikers" and their bikes. After speaking to so many bikers ever since the creation of this website, we've put our heads together and decided to offer a crash course on "Biker Etiquette" in the hopes of educating Joe Public on the proper way to conduct themselves when approaching a group of bikers and having a look at all the bikes parked side by side.

Also, we hope to show you a few things that irritate bikers more than road-rash when someone comes up and doesn't know how to conduct themselves while in the presence of bikers. We're approachable and we'll not kick your teeth in if you come up and talk to us or look at our rides. However, there are some lines you don't cross and questions you don't ask as well as things you never ever do under any circumstances.

The biker community, contrary to popular and misguided belief, is a very tight-knit group of fellow riders who enjoy the freedom the open road offers us. We look out for one another. Never judge a book by its cover until you've read the contents! We have jobs, we have families, we have bills to pay and we worry about the sake of our futures and the safety of our families just like the average car driver does. We may look tough, mean and dirty, but this choice of clothing is not to look "cool" but offers the rider protection. We're not out to intimidate you and we're not out to chase your daughters. We're men and woman who absolutely love the lifestyle and sub-culture bikers spawned by being linked through a common bond of two and three wheels.
